Hello, this is the UST Dormitory.
Applications for the UST Dormitory Regular Admission for the Fall Semester of 2026 will be accepted as outlined below. Students who wish to apply for dormitory accommodation should submit their applications through the UST website within the designated application period.
1. Application Period
August 14 (Fri.) ？ August 19 (Wed.), 2026
※ Please make sure to complete your application within the application period. (Applications are not processed on a first-come, first-served basis, so you may apply at any time during the application period.)
2. How to Apply
Please go to the Dormitory Application section on the UST website, find the “2026 Fall Semester UST Dormitory Regular Admission Announcement,” and submit your application.
When applying, please select or enter the following information accurately:

Semester: Fall Semester (2nd Semester)

Gender: Select Male or Female, as applicable

Room Type: Select your preferred room type (Single Room / Triple Room)

Application Category: Select the applicable category, if any
※ If none of the categories apply to you, you do not need to select one.

Complete all other required information and attach any relevant supporting documents, if applicable.
3. Expected Number of Available Rooms and Selection Criteria
As previously announced, the expected number of students to be selected for the Fall Semester of 2026 is as follows:

Single Room: Approximately 9 students

Triple Room: Approximately 23 students
※ The actual number of students selected may vary depending on dormitory operating conditions.
Approximately 50% of the available spaces will be given priority to international students. The remaining spaces will be allocated based on the UST Dormitory selection criteria, including the distance between the applicant’s original place of residence and UST.
In addition, available spaces are allocated according to gender. Therefore, the actual number of available spaces may vary depending on the applicant’s gender and selected room type.
Please note that competition for UST Dormitory accommodation has recently been high, and submitting an application does not guarantee admission.
4. Supporting Documents for Applicants from Distant Areas
As priority may be given to students whose original place of residence is far from UST, students who need to verify an original or family residence that differs from their current residence are encouraged to submit a Family Relations Certificate as supporting documentation.
For example, if you are currently living in a studio apartment in Daejeon for your studies but your family’s original residence is in Jeju, submitting supporting documentation may allow this information to be considered when determining whether you qualify as a long-distance applicant.
If this applies to you, please enter the relevant information accurately when applying through the website and attach a copy of your Family Relations Certificate.
5. Important Notes
Due to the recent high level of competition for UST Dormitory accommodation, we strongly recommend that you also contact and apply for dormitory accommodation at your affiliated school (campus) rather than relying solely on the results of the UST Dormitory selection.
We also recommend that you look into off-campus housing options, such as studio apartments near your school or campus, in advance in case you are not selected for the UST Dormitory.

6. Inquiries and Application Issues
As a general rule, please complete your application and submit all required documents through the UST website.
